Jewell Law QuickBooks Application Terms of Use

Effective date: September 10, 2026

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Jewell Law QuickBooks application (the “Application”). The Application is an internal business tool operated by Jewell Law Group, PLLC (“Jewell Law Group,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) for use only by personnel whom Jewell Law Group authorizes.

1. Limited internal use

Subject to these Terms, Jewell Law Group grants each authorized user a limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to use the Application solely for Jewell Law Group’s internal business purposes. The Application is not offered for public use, resale, sublicensing, or use with any QuickBooks company other than a company expressly authorized by Jewell Law Group.

2. Authorized access

Users must access the Application only through an authorized device and Intuit account. Users are responsible for protecting device credentials, Intuit credentials, verification codes, and other authentication information. Credentials, access tokens, and refresh tokens must not be shared through email, chat, or other unsecured channels.

3. Application functions and approval controls

The Application may display information obtained from an authorized QuickBooks Online company, including company information, customer records, invoices, service items, payment terms, tax codes, balances, and accounts-receivable reports.

The Application is designed primarily for review and preparation of customer and invoice work. Any enabled creation or modification of a QuickBooks customer or invoice is subject to Jewell Law Group’s internal review and approval procedures. The Application is not authorized to send invoices, record payments, move funds, access or affect trust or IOLTA accounts, create journal entries, alter bank activity, issue credits or refunds, or delete or void QuickBooks records.

4. User responsibilities

Authorized users must:

  • verify the correct QuickBooks company before relying on or changing any record;

  • review proposed customer and invoice information for accuracy and completeness;

  • avoid entering privileged communications, legal strategy, sensitive personnel information, or unnecessary matter details in invoice descriptions or customer-facing text;

  • comply with applicable law, professional obligations, Intuit’s terms, and Jewell Law Group’s policies; and

  • promptly report suspected unauthorized access, inaccurate data, or security concerns.

5. QuickBooks and third-party services

The Application connects to QuickBooks Online through services provided by Intuit Inc. QuickBooks and Intuit are independent third-party services governed by their own terms and privacy practices. Jewell Law Group does not control the availability, security, or operation of Intuit’s services. Intuit, QuickBooks, and related marks are trademarks of Intuit Inc. This Application is not sponsored or endorsed by Intuit.

6. No professional or accounting advice from the Application

The Application is an administrative technology tool. It does not independently provide legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice. Users remain responsible for professional judgment, appropriate review, and consultation with qualified advisers when needed.

7. Ownership

Jewell Law Group and its licensors retain all rights in the Application, including its design, code, documentation, and configuration. These Terms do not transfer ownership of any intellectual property.

8. Suspension and termination

Jewell Law Group may suspend or terminate access at any time, including when access is no longer required, authorization is revoked, or continued access may present a security, legal, or operational risk. Upon termination, the user must stop using the Application.

9. Disclaimer

The Application is provided for internal use on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jewell Law Group disclaims warranties that the Application will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose. Information displayed through the Application should be verified against the controlling QuickBooks record before it is relied upon.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jewell Law Group will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of or inability to use the Application or from interruption or error in a third-party service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Changes to these Terms

Jewell Law Group may update these Terms as the Application or applicable requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
